One Brochure, 18 clubs, and a world of sports activity available across Salisbury.

Working with the Salisbury Sports and Activity Forum, Salisbury City Council’s Community Activity Leaders have developed the Salisbury Sports Club Brochure to showcase the wide variety of sports available in the area for people of all ages and abilities.

The brochure contains key information on 18 clubs offering sports from cricket, football and netball to more unusual offers like American Football and Taekwon-Do. You can also find information on the age, ability level sessions, gender-based teams on offer and if they can provide accessible sessions for people with disabilities. Some of the clubs additionally offer a free trial and this is shown within the brochure. You can also get an insight into the club ethos and if you are interested in taking part, contact details are provided so that you can get the ball rolling.

This is the 2nd edition of the Sports Brochure, with the first released in 2019. This brochure now includes a wider range of sports for all ages. Salisbury City Council’s Communities Team supports the Sports and Activity Forum to promote all opportunities for active lifestyles in our community.

Sarah Gregson, who is the Communities Manager for Salisbury City Council, said “We hope this brochure can help raise the profile of clubs in the Salisbury area as they re-establish themselves after a really difficult 18 months. Coming together to play sports and learn new skills can be an important part of building a community and looking after our wellbeing and these clubs are a big part of that!”

The Brochure is available in both digital as well as paper based copies. If you would like to receive a copy, please use the contact details below, or visithttps://www.salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk/images/Salisbury_Sports_Brochure.pdf

The Salisbury Sports and Activity Forum was set up in 2018 to provide a platform for clubs to work together to tackle any issues they may face as well as easy access to local facilitators who would be able to support their club in growing and overcoming any difficulties.
