Local Radio Day 2021.

LOCAL RADIO DAY

2021 Local Radio Day returns for its sixth year on Friday 15th October 2021 to highlight the value of local radio to communities and to celebrate the unique relationship between local broadcasting and listeners. Local Radio Day 2021 is themed ‘LOVE YOUR PLACE’. Whether your favourite place is.....

Supporting local business with pints in the pub

Working for, listening to, laughing at and catching up on the latest news from your local radio station

Relaxing at home with your nearest and dearest

Walking in the woods, or sitting in a sunny spot at your local park

Getting lost in a book, watching a theatre production, or singing your heart out at a live gig

To celebrate the 6th annual Local Radio Day, love your place! Wherever you feel you belong; Whatever place you love, we want to know about it. This year CDFM really wanted to foster a sense of celebration, hope and optimism for the future.

Local Radio Day was created by UKRD in 2015 and handed over to Local Radio Alliance ahead of Local Radio Day 2019.

Last year saw the theme ‘Communities making waves: turning the tide on isolation’ and, despite lockdown, was the most successful yet with over 150 stations participating. The aim as ever remains the same –to bring together organisations and individuals driving community-powered local radio across the UK.

This year we are supported by The Radio Academy, Community Media Association, Local Media Network, BBC Local Radio, RadioToday, RadioJingles24, The Radio Husband of course hundreds of radio stations in the UK.
